Weekly Chapel

Good Shepherd Lutheran School has its roots in the thriving multi-generational congregation of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Weekly chapel services, which begin in preschool and continue through eighth grade, celebrate the teachings of Christ's love and affirm our faith. Students of all ages play an active role in weekly chapel services, including lighting the candles, ringing the bell, presenting offerings, and joining in the chorus of song. Weekly chapel is the spiritual core of our students’ school life.

Special Chapel

At Christmas, Easter, and at the close of each school year, all GSLS students, from two years to eighth grade, have the opportunity to present their chapel songs in front of an audience of family and friends. The upper elementary students combine song with dance and storytelling, and our middle school students have a band performance showcasing their instrumental skills. These events not only mark the festive seasons in school calendar, but they also provide important public speaking and performance opportunities. By the time our students reach fifth grade they have had ample chances to be in front of an audience. We are always inspired by our children who lead us in closing chapel done with grace and poise.
