Good Shepherd welcomes the new "Mobile Maker Club." This fun, hands-on after-school class will provide an authentic experience of blending safe woodworking, state of the art technology and interactive electronics. With a low student to teacher ratio, your child will have the opportunity to create unique class and student driven projects throughout the 8 week session. Brian Kaplan, the maker teacher taught science and has over 25 year experience of contractory/carpentry work. He brings a wealth of experience and passion to seeing kids work with their hands, mind, and heart.

Learn how to make "cool stuff" in the Mobile Maker Lab. Club members will have the options of building teacher directed projects or creating their own projects in a mobile lab equipped with basic hand tools to a CNC router (called the Carvey Board). While learning the responsible use of hand tools, woodworking techniques and the maker club "cool tools," club member will enjoy a hands-on experience in a variety of ways. Each student will gain the satisfaction of creating various wood and electronic projects to take home! Have a blast in the "Take Apart" area.
