John F. Kennedy said, “physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity.” Our K-5th graders have PE twice a week. The skills they develop during PE involve hand-eye coordination, balance, footwork, endurance training, and muscle and strength training. They play various sports games throughout the year focusing on one or a combination of those core skills. They also learn to demonstrate the spirit of fair play, teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect for others through these physical activities.
