The Preschool Program at Good Shepherd Lutheran School is available for children two to four years of age by the start of the academic year. Our children flourish in a rich environment with developmentally-appropriate, play-based curriculum.

The programs for the two- and three-year-olds focus on social-emotional skills, gross and fine motor development, spiritual growth, and pre-academic skills such as listening and following directions. The Pre-K program continues to support children’s growth and development by advancing social-emotional, motor, and academic-readiness skills.  Teachers use observational assessment tool, and teaching strategies to make informed planning and support each student’s individual development. This tool is an authentic, ongoing, observation-based assessment system that helps teachers and administrators focus on what matters most for children’s success.
