The Preschool Program at Good Shepherd Lutheran School is available for children two to four years of age by the start of the academic year. Our children flourish in a rich environment with developmentally-appropriate, play-based curriculum.

The programs for the two- and three-year-olds focus on social-emotional skills, gross and fine motor development, spiritual growth, and pre-academic skills such as listening and following directions. The Pre-K program continues to support children’s growth and development by advancing social-emotional, motor, and academic-readiness skills.  Teachers use observational assessment tools, and teaching strategies to make informed planning and support each student’s individual development. This tool is an authentic, ongoing, observation-based assessment system that helps teachers and administrators focus on what matters most for children’s success.

Summer Camp Information- 2022

We are so excited to open registration for our 2022 preschool summer camp! We have had the opportunity to enjoy summer camp on campus for many years. We look forward to another fun summer full of play and exploration for our youngest students.

We provide a cozy style preschool with two classrooms and we operate mainly in our schoolhouse, with some trips to the large playground throughout the week. The summer camp program has more room for exploration and discovery than our traditional school year program. Our extraordinary teachers provide a highly engaging learning environment — while encouraging lots of playtime and outdoor activities. We are happy to welcome all children and we want the experience to be successful for everyone. As always, we follow all licensing requirements for safety, health and student teacher ratio. Many of our teachers, who our campers know and love, will join us for camp, but staff schedules do vary. Summer is all about fun and we are ready for it!

All children in our program must follow state requirements for vaccinations. This is required by state licensing. Visit to learn more about school vaccination requirements. Our front office will contact you if we need any forms for camp enrollment.

Attached is our flyer and a registration form for GSLS preschool camp. You can drop the form off in our front office during school hours. We will reach out to confirm schedules at the beginning of June. We look forward to a fabulous summer of fun!
